Bongaigaon Refinery is an oil refinery and petrochemical complex located at Bongaigaon in Assam. It was announced in 1969 and construction began in 1972. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd plans upgradation of its Bongaigaon refinery for production of BS-VI grade fuels in Assam.The environmental clearance was recently granted for the project.
