Kia Motors is having plans to set up manufacturing unit in India. The company is close to finalizing the land deal with the Government of Andhra Pradesh government in this regard. As per media reports, the company has chose Sri City against the other locations like Pantnagar in Uttarakhand and Gujarat explored earlier. Investment to the tune of around Rs 5000 crore is targeted in first phase. Initially 20,000 cars per annum will be manufactured and it would be scaled up to 30,000 cars in the second phase.
