Gandhinagar railway station redevelopment project is flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who laid the foundation recently. The project comprises the construction of a new 300-room hotel, 65 meter high on the station premises, besides being hi-tech and passenger friendly. The first phase of the project is estimated to cost Rs 130 crore. This project would be the first of its kind and likely to serve as a model for future station redevelopment projects in India.
