The Namami Chandrabhaga project on the lines of Namami Gange has not moved forward after June 2016 announcement. The plan is to make the Bhima river at holy town of Pandharpur in Solapur district pollution-free. The project is estimated to cost more than Rs 1,000 crore and includes setting up of sewage treatment plants by the connected Municipal Corporation. Due to funding issues, nothing has moved so far.
