The Chhattisgarh Government is keen to march ahead with implementation of the Raipur Smart City’ project. The state government has approved Rs 13 crore to undertake 89 developmental works by the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC). The smart city project includes visual mapping of the city, installation of CCTV surveillance systems, door to door collection of the waste - segregation & management, pedestrian only streets, introducing e-Rickshaw zones, underground wiring, covering of drains, development of public parks and lake, smart grid, Led lighting rooftop solar units, street art, 24x7 water supply, night markets and transport friendly city.
