Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal & New and Renewable Energy in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha has recently informed that as part of the plan to scale up to 100 GW of Grid Connected Solar Power by the year 2022, it was envisaged that the Public Sector Undertakings will contribute around 10,000 MW of Grid Connected Solar Power. Further, 36 Central PSUs have given their commitments to develop 18,988 MW of Renewable Energy projects, as part of Green Energy Commitment.
