Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) plans to float bids for Metro rail corridor from Dahisar East and Andheri East covering 16.5 km in length. The total cost of the Dahisar East-Andheri East Metro is estimated at Rs 6,208 crore. The metro corridor will have 16 stations connecting Borivali, Kandivali, Goregaon - Aarey junction, Bombay Exhibition Centre, the Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road junction and finally end at Andheri East. DMRC will soon call bids for the metro corridor from Dahisar to DN Nagar in Andheri West covering 18 km length. The corridor is estimated to come up at a cost of Rs 6,410 crore, including the cost of land acquisition and taxes. The metro corridor will have 17 stations that will pass through Kandivali, Charkop, Bangur Nagar and Oshiwara and finally connect the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro at DN Nagar in Andheri West. The state government aims to complete both the corridors by 2019.
