24 Feb 2021 Defence Acquisition Council approves proposals worth Rs 27,000 cr The Defence Acquisition Council under Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved capital acquisition proposals for various weapons, platforms, equipment and systems required by the Army, Navy and Indian Air Force worth approximately Rs. 28,000 crore. This was the first meeting of the DAC under the new regime of Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020
24 Feb 2021 Karnataka approves EV manufacturing projects of nearly Rs 23,000 cr The Karnataka government has approved investments of Rs. 22,419 crore under three proposals involving electric vehicle and lithium-ion battery manufacturing. Two proposals of Elest Pvt Ltd worth Rs. 14,255 crore and Rs. 6,339 crore, and a Rs. 1,825 crore project by Hyunet Pvt Ltd, were cleared by the State High Level Clearance Committee.
24 Feb 2021 Chhattisgarh signs MoU for country's first ethanol plant to be set up under PPP model The Chhattisgarh government has signed a contract execution memorandum for the country's first ethanol plant to be set up under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. The contract was signed by Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Factory Kawardha and Chhattisgarh Distillery Ltd's subsidiary NKJ Biofuel for a period of 30 years.
24 Feb 2021 UAE to invest 7 billion dollars in India's food sector India and the United Arab Emirates have signed an agreement under which the UAE will invest $7 billion in a food processing complex in India. Eight food processing units will be set up in Madhya Pradesh, which will purchase grains, fruits and vegetables directly from farmers. The value-added products will be exported.
