The work might need Rs. 300 crore. It will commence in nine months and be completed in one year after the commencement. The existing terminal will be expanded 30 m on both sides.

Sep 20, 2020 LPG bottling plant of (BPCL) at Kappalur Construction work on the LPG bottling plant of BPCL at Kappalur on the outskirts of Madurai has been completed and it is to be commissioned soon. The plant, on 22 acres, involved an outlay of Rs. 80 crore excluding the land cost. It is the 5th bottling plant of BPCL in Tamil Nadu.

Operated with electric power, the equipment has a capacity to pump out 1,000 litres of disinfection materials in one hour and cover large areas quickly.
