A Central government-supported food processing unit has set up a food park in Phagwara, with cold storage, IQF facility and multi-vegetable processing line, deep freezers, silos, dry warehousing, sorting grading facility, water treatment plant, quality control laboratory, etc.

Has inaugurated a mega food park in Mizoram. Set up at a cost of Rs 75 crore, it will benefit 25,000 farmers as well as generate 5,000 jobs. The 55-acre food park, located at village-Khamrang in Kolasib District, is promoted by Zoram Mega Food Park Pvt Ltd.

MITS mega food park is coming up in Rayagada district under Mega Food Park Scheme. The company is the lead promoter of the project with a stake of 51 per cent. Odisha Infrastructure Development Corporation (Idco), Keventer Agro Ltd (KAL) and Expo Biotech are the other partners in this project.

Paithan Mega Food Park Pvt Ltd is setting up Paithan Mega Food Park spread over 102 acre has come up in Wahegaon and Dhangaon village in Paithan Taluka of Aurangabad district. The project is estimated to cost Rs 124.52 crore.

Ministry of Food Processing Industries is implementing Mega Food Park Scheme across the country. The aims is to boost food processing sector by adding value and reducing food wastage.The first Mega Food Park has come up at Village Degaon, District Satara in the state of Maharashtra.

Khagaria mega food park is coming up on an area of 70 acre in Ekaniya village. The food park would have facilities such as warehouses, cold storages, quick freezing units and testing labs. The completion is targeted by the end of 2018. The company is executing this project under an agreement with Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI).
