The Union government has given in-principle sanction (stage-one forest clearance) for the diversion of forest land for the construction of twin tunnel with four-lane approach roads via Anakkampoyil, Kalladi and Meppadi connecting Kozhikode and Wayanad.

An MoU has been signed between Uttrakhand Metro Rail Corporation and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the task of preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for the development of a ropeway in Dehradun, Uttrakhand. DPR is expected to be ready within the next four to six months. Transport system through ropeway will be started in about two years.
