India will need an investment of Rs 14.5 trillion by 2027 to install a renewable generation capacity of 210 GW and a battery storage capacity of 8.6 GW/ 34.7 GWh to meet the country’s growing demand for electricity.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is in the forefront of taking the required steps to expedite the implementation of the world’s largest renewable capacity expansion programme targeting clean energy capacity to touch 175 GW by 2022.
