SCCL is considering setting up of three types of solar plants, on land, dumps and water. Has approved plans for five new opencast mining projects. The board also cleared proposals for expansions of Dorley OCP and GDK-7 LEPOC in Godavarikhani, besides over burden contract for JVROC-2 in Kothagudem and a KKOC project in Mandamarri.
