The Tourism & Hospitality (T&H) segment in India is likely to do well in the coming months and year as the Government of India has laid special focus on promoting Tourism in India. Travel and tourism segment is the third-largest foreign exchange earner for India.

The Centre has recently approved a National Mission on Transformative Mobility and Battery Storage. The aim is to boost clean, connected, shared and sustained mobility solutions in the country.

NMCG has sanctioned the upgradation of one existing Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) of 6.25 MLD capacity for textile printing units in Mathura Industrial Area.

NMCG has sanctioned project comprising sewage pumping stations and 9 STPs of total 22.5 MLD capacity in Chattarpur assembly constituency. Sewage flow will be collected and pumped to STPs for treatment. The treated water will be used for development/ rejuvenation of eight nearby waterbodies and for irrigation purpose.

NMCG has sanctioned 318 MLD sewage treatment plant at Coronation Pillar located on Burari Road near Nirankari Sarovar in Delhi.

Survey of India is assigned the task by the National Mission for Clean Ganga in order to facilitate Ganga rejuvenation using GIS technology. Survey of India will map using GIS technology and provide high-resolution maps to the government for the entire stretch of the Ganga.

In May 2015, the Government of India has launched Namami Gange Programme for conservation of river Ganga with total outlay of Rs.20,000 crore.

NMCG has given approval to one project for the laying of sewer lines in some of the uncovered areas in Haridwar at an estimated cost of Rs 4.68 crore.

The sewage management works are approved in Kamarhati and Baranagar Municipalities (60 MLD STP, de-silting of sewer lines, etc.) under PPP-based Hybrid Annuity mode. It also includes pollution abatement works for river Ganga in Berhampore Municipality (3.5 MLD STP and sewer network) and sewage management works in Nabadwip Municipality (9.5 MLD STP and renovation of 10.5 MLD STP).
