MMRDA has decided to go for procurement of signalling equipment, along with platform screen doors for the Metro 6 corridor (Lokhandwala to Vikhroli) as work is entering the crucial phase after depot was resolved with the state granting approval to build this facility at Kanjurmarg.

The Defence Ministry approved the procurement of military equipment and weapons worth Rs 28,000 crore, including swarm drones and close-quarter battle carbines, to bolster the overall combat prowess of the armed forces along the Northern and Western borders.

State-run Power Grid Corporation of India has approved investment proposals worth around Rs. 552 crore, which include capital expenditure for procurement of telecom equipment and associated power system for augmentation of telecom backbone and access network with an estimated cost of Rs. 429.24 crore

About Rs. 212.31 crore has been released for the procurement of electric buses as of January 31 this year under the second phase of the FAME-India Scheme. The government had launched the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric scheme in 2015. Since then, 86 proposals have been received from 26 states/Union Territories for about 15,000 e-buses .
