The Ministry of Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises is implementing a programe to establish 15 new technology centres and upgrade the 18 existing TCs. The upcoming TCs will provide assistance to MSMEs in the general engineering, automotive, fragrance & flavour and ESDM sectors.

The Centre is mulling extending the interest subvention scheme for MSMEs by another six months beyond the March 31, 2021 deadline as part of its budget proposals. It is also planning to double the ticket size of the loans for which such interest subvention is given to Rs 2 crore. The money is lent by scheduled banks to micro, small and medium enterprises

To promote micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) has kept nearly 992.67 acres of vacant plots available for such enterprises across 52 industrial parks in the state. NTPC Ltd has invited expressions of interest from MSMEs and Indian companies for setting up energy intensive manufacturing plants such as bulk chemicals ammonia, urea, chloralkali, gypsum and gypsum products, geopolymer, etc in the Industrial parks to be developed on a pilot basis in several of NTPC’s thermal power plants.
