The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL) have entered into an agreement to enhance Delhi’s power distribution. ADB will subscribe to non-convertible debentures for Rs 1.5 billion for grid enhancements, and a $2 million grant to partially finance the purchase and integration of a pilot battery energy storage system (BESS).

Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd, which supplies electricity to over 7 million people in North Delhi, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state-run National Power Training Institute (NPTI) for conducting capacity building training for personnel in the power distribution sector and for students.
