The West Bengal government has announced incentives for setting up 100 private industrial parks for the MSME sector. Fourteen industrial parks for various sectors have already come up in the state in the past six years on 1,300 acres of land, and the new ones will be in addition to these.

Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Road Transport & Highways, has said the target is to make India a global manufacturing hub of construction equipment, focussing on reduced imports and boosting the manufacturing of various components and parts in the automobile sector.

The Uttar Pradesh government will set up industrial parks for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in six of its most industrialised districts, including Varanasi and Kanpur, and has invited proposals from consultants. The government has also initiated a detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed 601-km Ganga Expressway between Meerut and Prayagraj.

Walmart-owned Flipkart on Friday said it supports over six lakh artisans, weavers and craftsmen across the country through its Samarth programme and is working on onboarding more such sellers to the platform. The programme was launched last year in partnership with five NGOs.

In the e-launching program organized by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), the chief minister allotted plots to 127 MSME units in Tankara's Chhatar-Mitana through computerized draw from his residence at Gandhinagar. He also inaugurated two CETP plants of 40 MLD for the treatment and disposal of polluted wastewater.

Nearly 88,000 MSME units in Gujarat have got clearance of loans in a fortnight from nationalised banks, amounting to Rs. 5373 crore. Of these, the banks have already distributed Rs. 2428 crore worth of loans to approximately 31,000 MSME units.

The government of Telangana has said that a 400 acre MSME park has already come up in Dandu Malkapur near Hyderabad, which will be expanded to 2,000 acres.
