Telangana has requested the Centre to expedite work on the Warangal airport under the UDAN scheme. The state government has also sought expediting of the survey process of all the proposed airports in the state.

The Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department has sought details of high flood levels at six airports proposed across Telangana as required by the Airport Authority of India. The six airports proposed are at Warangal, Adilabad, Jakranpally (Nizamabad), Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Basanth Nagar (Ramagundam), and Devarkadra (Mahbubnagar).

The state government has secured in-principle approval from the Department of Pharmaceuticals for development of a biocompatibility testing centre.

The government is developing a 60-acre apparel park at Sircilla to boost the local powerloom industry and to encourage value addition by converting fabrics into garments. Leading garment manufacturers, like Texport Industries and Gokaldas Images, are at an advanced stage of discussion for setting up units in the park.

The government is developing an 88-acre weaving park at Sircilla. The work is on to build 50 industrial sheds to house 4,416 power looms and 60 warping machinery and other facilities.

The Telangana government has accorded revised administrative sanction to the work of Kaleshwaram Project Link-III at a cost of Rs. 996.013 crore. The project involves lifting of 11.635 TMC of water in 120 days from mid Manair Reservoir at Sircilla (V) to Upper Manair Reservoir at Narmal (V), Gambhiraopet (M) and Rajanna Sircilla district.

The Government of Telangana is keen to develop six airports in the state. The techno-feasibility report is awaited from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in this regard.

The Government of India has given its nod for Clean Krishna – Godavari project. The project aims at rejuvenation of the two major rivers in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Bengaluru-based Institute of Wood Science and Technology is preparing proposals for the revival of Krishna. The proposals are being prepared and would be submitted to the Union Ministry of Forest and Environment and Water Resources soon.

The state government has decided to set up a modern model market in Wanaparthy district. The Detailed Project Report (DPR) is prepared.
