The recently constituted Cotton Board has sought Rs 35-crore loan from the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) for purchase of cotton meant for textile mills in the State. A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish, Principal Secretary, Industries, who heads the Board told that the Board was constituted to ensure transparent purchase of raw material for spinning mills at the most advantageous price.

The Andhra Pradesh government will release Rs. 1,124 crore as incentives to support micro, small and medium enterprises, textile and spinning mills. While MSMEs will get a Rs. 440 crore push, textile and spinning mills will be allotted Rs 684 crore.
