The recently constituted Cotton Board has sought Rs 35-crore loan from the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) for purchase of cotton meant for textile mills in the State. A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish, Principal Secretary, Industries, who heads the Board told that the Board was constituted to ensure transparent purchase of raw material for spinning mills at the most advantageous price.

Plans to set up new modern technology processing plant at Ajmer Dairy. The new plant will be able to process 10 lakh litre of milk and produce 30 metric tonne milk powder per day. The work will start in two months and completion is targeted in two years.
