Dubai ports giant is set to build an inland port in Jammu and Kashmir as part of plans by the emirate to invest in the Indian territory. DP World would soon visit the 250 acre site earmarked for the inland port facility. The company had a productive meeting with Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.

Apart from the historic seven bridges, there are 26 ghats that need immediate restoration.

AIIMS Jammu, being established in Vijaypur in Samba district, is likely to be fully operational by December 2022. The project was sanctioned under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) with an estimated cost of Rs. 2,000 crore, to provide super-speciality diagnosis services and world-class treatment.

The Jammu-Akhnoor highway project, which was affected by the pandemic, has now gathered pace and is expected to be completed by March 2022. The 30-km highway is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 272.77 crore. The flyover part of the highway is expected to be completed by December 2021.
