Tawi Barrage Project is being implemented and comprises 31 gates, 11 in Badi Tawi and 20 in Nikki Tawi. So far, around 85 per cent of the work is completed. Tenders will be floated soon to complete the rest of the work. The completion is targeted by May 2019.

Augmentation of receiving station Nagam from 10.3 MVA to 16.3 MVA including dismantling of existing 4.0MVA Power Transformer and its transportation to Divisional stores. The work will commence soon and take six months to complete.

The 140 kilowatt roof top solar power plant was set up in the campus of BRO. Jeanie Power Solution Private Limited has executed the project. The project got completed in 3 months.

Plans to assign the construction of Guest House including Internal Electrical Installations at NIT Srinagar. The completion is targeted in 15 months.

Jammu ropeway project is progressing well. The project comprises construction of 1.66-km-long cable car. The project is being taken up in two phases, first from Bahu Fort to Mahamaya Park and second from Mahamaya to Peer Kho over the Tawi river, with a total length of 1,118 metre. The completion is expected soon.

The authority is constructing four-lane Jammu ring road covering 58.25 Km and comprising 8 large bridges, 6 flyovers, 2 tunnels and 4 via ducts on this route.This road will connect Jagati in Western Jammu to Raya Morh. So far, the work is progressing on 28-km stretch, 20% of road work will be completed and opened to traffic by March 31, 2019.

The company is implementing through Gammon Engineers & Contractors Pvt Ltd the construction of balance works of Tunnel T-48 (between Km 100.000 to 110.200 approx.) on Katra – Banihal Section of Udhampur –Srinagar-Baramulla New BG Railway Line Project (Package: Tunnel T48R).

TRG Industries Pvt Ltd is the contractor appointed for the construction of Foundation Substructure and Superstructure including Civil Works Supply Fabrication Assembly, Erection and Launching of Superstructure for Railway Bridge No. 138 and Road Bailey Bridge between T74 and T 77 on Katra Banihal Section of Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Rail Link Project, Jammu and Kashmir.

The department is constructing Multi-Storeyed Building (Basement plus G plus 5) for Mini Secretariat at Batamaloo, Srinagar (Phase-1st).
