NALCO will invest around Rs. 30,000 crore in its expansion and diversification projects in the next six to seven years. Of this, Rs. 22,000 crore will be spent on the expansion of the companys aluminium smelter unit and construction of a 1400-MW feeder captive power plant (CPP) in Angul.

NALCO has floated a tender for the electrification of battery room for rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) plant at the premises of its D.M. plant in S.P.P. of Alumina Refinery, NALCO in Damanjodi town in Odisha.

The Centre has agreed to restart the project for upgradation of the infrastructure at the Angul Aluminium Park, a joint venture between the Navratna PSU NALCO and IDCO under the state industries department.
