Sterlite Power, a leading global power transmission player, has achieved financial closure for its Vapi II North Lakhimpur Transmission Ltd project by securing the entire debt funding of Rs. 2,070 crore from Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC). The financial closure has been achieved within four months of the SPV’s acquisition of the project.

India Grid Trust (IndiGrid) has completed the acquisition of another transmission asset, Gurgaon Palwal Transmission Ltd (GPTL) from Sterlite Power, at an enterprise value of Rs. 1,080 crore. With this acquisition, IndiGrid's assets under management have increased by 9 per cent to Rs. 13,300 crore.

The company has commissioned the 765 kV Khandwa substation in Madhya Pradesh. The project is part of the Khargone Transmission (KTL) project and will help in stepping down the high voltage power from Khargone power plant to further distribute it downstream to 50 million households across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.

The company has commissioned the Rs. 1,027-crore worth Gurgaon Palwal Transmission Project (GPTL) in Haryana. This project is expected to enhance the power capacity of Gurugram and Palwal areas in Haryana by nearly 2,000 MW.

Sterlite Power Transmission Ltd has bagged Udupi-Kasargode power transmission project comprising 400 KV transmission line covering 120 km from Udupi in Karnataka to Kasaragode in Kerala along with a 400 KV GIS substation.

Bagged Lakadia-Vadodara power transmission line project (Western Regional System Strengthening (WRSS) 21-Part B) in Gujarat. The project involves laying of 325 km of 765 KV transmission line from 765/400 KV Lakadia Substation to Vadodara in Gujarat.
