Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has submitted the detailed project report for Vizag Metro in the first half of September. The report awaits the nod of the Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet. Once this approval is in place, the project will be sent to the Centre for appraisal.

Vizag Metro Rail project's preparatory work work has started.The completion of the metro rail project is targeted in 3-4 years including the feasibility study and detailed project report preparation. The DPR for the first phase will be ready in six months. The first phase will cover 30-km.
