The Nashik zone of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has completed the task of laying underground cables in Panchavati, Old City, Nashik Road and Cidco areas of the city — the most densely populated areas — measuring around 150 km.

An order has been secured to provide Dynamic Reactive Power Compensator System at a 220kV Substation in Abu Dhabi, and another to build a new 220kV gas insulated substation in Bangladesh.

TATA Projects Ltd has forayed into Bangladesh’s transmission and distribution sector by securing a 400 KV double circuit transmission line project valued at approximately Rs. 900 crore ($120 million) from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. The 120-km-long project from Barapukuria to Bogura is on turnkey basis.
