The KMRL is implementing the project to widen the Seaport-Airport Road from Kakkanad Collectorate Junction to Infopark Expressway Entrance, as part of Phase II of Kochi Metro expansion. The total of 2.5 km is being converted into four-lane. The Work has began two weeks back and is in full swing.

Plans are afoot for constructing a new four-lane Road from Seaport-Airport Road in Thrikkakkara to connect it with Chakkarapparambu in the NH covering length of 4.06 km.

The Kerala Government has issued a letter of credit for Rs 15.2 crore for acquiring land needed to widen the Vengoor-Nayathode Airport road, which connects Angamaly to Nedumbassery airport. The work is likely to start once the funds are released.

IMC starts construction of 13-metre wide bridge on airport road. Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has started the construction of 13-metre wide bridge on Chandan Nagar-airport road on 2nd March, 2014. This bridge is likely to ease traffic flow towards airport. The project is estimated to cost Rs 2.30 crore. The existing bridge is quite narrow and causes traffic snarls most of the time.

Mumbai metro project trial process has started. The project covers 11.07-km-long Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar stretch. The metro would be operational in two phases. The Phase-I is likely to be ready by August 2013 comprising Versova and Airport Road station. The second phase would be ready by December 2013 covering stretch between Airport Road and Ghatkopar.
