The company is setting up a network of solar-based electric vehicle chargers on the Delhi-Chandigarh highway under the Department of Heavy Industry’s FAME scheme (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid) & Electric Vehicles in India). The first charging station was recently commissioned at Rai in Haryana. Around 20 charging stations are coming up on Delhi-Chandigarh Highway.

BHEL and Libcoin are in talks to form a consortium to initially build a 1GWh lithium-ion battery plant in India. The plants capacity will be scaled up to 30GWh in due course.

The company has secured an additional order from Mahagenco for installation of emission control equipment. The project is being executed by BHEL on engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) basis at Jalgaon district in Maharashtra.
