DMRC has prepared the DPR for a Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS) covering 35.12 km in both the cities. KMCL, the special purpose vehicle will be renamed as the Kerala Rapid Transit Corporation (KRT). The project comprises 19 stations in the 28.82 km Technocity-Karamana stretch in Thiruvananthapuram and 14 stations in the 13.30 km Medical College-Meenchanda section in Kozhikode.
