The National Hydropower Corp is planning to develop a solar park of around 600 MW capacity in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. The time required for carrying out the survey and investigation would be two months and the land will be taken on a long-term lease basis. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.

Plans to hire consultants for technical assistance and preparation of a detailed project report for a 100 MW floating solar project at the Rengali reservoir in Odisha. The scope of work includes the preparation of the report for the project in line with the format issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

Loktak Downstream Hydroelectric Corporation Limited (LDHCL), a joint venture of NHPC Ltd and the Government of Manipur, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Manipur State Power Distribution Company Ltd (MSPDCL) for 66 MW Loktak Downstream Hydroelectric Project, located in Manipur.

NHPC Limited (formerly the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Green Energy Development Corporation of Odisha Ltd (GEDCOL). The two parties will form a joint venture company for the development of floating solar power projects of nearly 500 MW in the state of Odisha.

The state-owned hydropower producer that has diversified into wind and solar power projects, has invited bids for engineering, procurement and construction of a 50 MW floating solar project in Kerala. The project wiall come up over a water body measuring 303 acres in West Kallada of Kollam District.

NHPC is planning to develop three hydropower projects with a total capacity of 155 MW in Ladakh along with a solar project of 50 MW capacity.

Plans to assign the electro mechanical works of Teesta Hydroelectric Project, Stage-IV (4 x 130 MW) (Lot-IV) in Sikkim.

The hydro power major has restarted work on setting up 2000 MW Lower Subansiri hydro power project along Assam-Arunachal Pradesh. Around 60 percent of the work of the power project is almost completed.
