Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has successfully commissioned 250 MW unit based on eco-friendly Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion (CFBC) technology, using low quality coal (lignite) as the primary fuel at Bhavnagar Energy Company Ltd (BECL)’s thermal power project, located at Padva village in Bhavnagar District of Gujarat.

Plans renovation and modernisation of steam turbines for Ukai and Wanakbori thermal power plants. Modernisation work would be under taken for 200 MW Ukai thermal power station unit no 4 and 210 MW Wanakbori thermal power station unit no 3. Tenders are invited recently in this regard.

Setting up a 350 MW thermal plant at Visakhapatnam.The contract was awarded to BHEL. The project includes design, engineering, manufacture and commissioning of boilers, steam turbines and turbo-generators.
