Gautam Buddh Nagar, which includes industrial cities of Noida and Greater Noida, has received investment proposals worth Rs 5.86 lakh crore since the announcement of Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit. The UP Global Investors Summit in Lucknow and the state government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has set a target of Rs 17 lakh crore investments through the ambitious drive.

The Telangana government said tech giant Microsoft will be investing Rs 16,000 crore for setting up three more data centres, taking the total proposed centres to six. The IT firm had already announced its first captive data centre investment of three campuses early in 2022 with an investment of Rs 16,000 crore.

A day after IT giant Microsoft announced setting up three more data centres in Telangana in addition to its proposed three for the next decade, for an overall investment of Rs 31,000 crore, e-commerce giant Amazon’s cloud computing services arm Amazon Web Services announced an enhanced investment of Rs 36,300 crore to set up its state-of-the-art data centres in Hyderabad.

Bharti Airtel Group will be investing Rs 2,000 crore for setting up a large hyperscale data centre here. The company, through its data centre arm, Nxtra Data Centres, will invest the amount as capital investment for the infrastructure which will further attract investments from their customers, it said. The facility will be a hyperscale data centre with a capacity of 60 megawatts (MW) of IT load for the first phase.

World-renowned sporting equipment maker Yonex is planning to expand its manufacturing capacity in India to sell made-in-India carbon graphite racquets. The Japanese brand is in a bid to offer Indian market a more affordable price points as it spreads its manufacturing footprint in India

India will likely see an investment of $ 58 billion in finding and producing oil and gas resources in 2023, Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said, adding global energy majors Chevron Corp, ExxonMobil and TotalEnergies are keen to invest. The Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL) is planning to expand its retail fuel outlet network in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and has plans to open 500 retail outlets in Southern states by 2025. The company is focusing on dealer-owned-dealer-operated outlets in four South Indian states

The state government has decided to implement Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) with an investment of around 11,000 crore with the support of the Union government. The scheme would help in strengthening the power distribution system, reduce losses and enhance operational efficiency.

Capital goods major Siemens has signed a Rs 26,000-crore contract to manufacture 1,200 electric freight locomotives for the Indian Railways. The contract is the single biggest order for Siemens and will be used for freight transport.
