PSPCL to kick off new project to meet power requirement of Zirakpur

The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is likely to commence new project so as to meet the power requirement of Zirakpur residents. Venu Prasad, chairman-cum-managing director (CMD), PSPCL has admitted to the media about the power supply issues in the Zirakpur area. He has assured that number of developmental projects are in pipeline in Mohali circle to mitigate the problems of the people. He is hopeful of completing soon the augmentation of 20 MVA power transformer to 31.5 MVA at 66 KV Sub Station of Dhakoli in Zirakpur sub-division. Apart from the hurdles in the path of commissioning 66 KV sub-station at Haripur Kura and Ramgarh Bhuda have been sorted out. The new 66 KV Sub-Stations at Baltana and Aero City-I will be commissioned soon.
