Maharastra to issue tenders for building 10,000 roads

Maharashtra is gearing up to build 10,000 km of roads worth Rs 30,000 crore. The state Public works department is likely to float tenders by October, 2017. Road contracts for a minimum length of 100-km will be issued in place of small roads contracts of 2-km as practiced earlier. The projects would be implemented on hybrid annuity model.
