KIIFB allocates Rs 192 crore for developmental works in Wayanad

The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) has given approval to projects of public education, public works, sports, and youth welfare departments valued at Rs.192.06 crore in Wayanad district during the current fiscal. KITCO will be the implementing agency of the projects. Rs.3 crore each would be utilised to improve infrastructure in nine government higher secondary schools in Wayanad district. The renovation of the Mananthavady-Pakramthalam road stretch covering 5-km got Rs 16 crore allocation, Rs.54.40 crore has been allocated renovation of the Beenachi-Pamaram road.

The other projects include construction works of the proposed Omkarnath Indoor Sports Complex, maintenance of 6.2-km stretch of the Mananthavady-Kalpetta road; 3-km stretch of Vythiri-Gudalur; 3.8 km of the Kalpetta by pass; and 4.5-km stretch of the Chooralmala-Arunapuzha roads.
