National Highways Authority of India plans to undertake development of six laning of Chakeri-Allahabad section of National Highway (NH) - 2 in Uttar Pradesh. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has recently given its approval for the project.

Six laning of Chakeri-Allahabad section gets CCEA approval

National Highways Authority of India plans to undertake development of six laning of Chakeri-Allahabad section of National Highway (NH) - 2 in Uttar Pradesh. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has recently given its approval for the project. The cost is estimated to be Rs 3691.09 crore including cost of land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities. The total length of the road to be developed is approximately 145 km. The project will be taken up under National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase V on Hybrid Annuity Mode.
