National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has recently inaugurated a bridge (culvert) over Badshapur drain near Hero Honda Chowk on Delhi-Gurgaon expressway, meanwhile Huda allowed traffic on trial over Basai railway-over-bridge (RoB) on Dwarka expressway. The RoB, located at the junction of sectors 100 and 37D at Basai village, will fill a crucial connectivity gap on the 18km-long Dwarka expressway.
"Minor bridge near Hero Honda Chowk was opened to traffic on June 13, two days ahead of schedule," said NHAI project director Ashok Sharma, adding it has already eased congestion near the important junction.
Congestion at Hero Honda Chowk which creates great chaos is more likely to reduce further by June end , when NHAI opens the second carriageway of the NH-8 flyover to traffic. "More than 80% of the work on the flyover is already complete. It's expected to be finished by June 30," said the official.
