May 05, 2023 India to add 15 GW of new utility-scale solar capacity in FY24 India is expected to add 15.5 gigawatt (GW) of new utility-scale solar capacity in the financial year 2023-24 (FY24), given that the Approved List of Module Manufacturers (ALMM) is deferred till March 2024. It said that an additional 2.5 GW to 3 GW is estimated to be added in the rooftop solar segment in FY24.

Similar parks would come up in other districts in future. Veda Textile Park would be set up on about 50 acres at a cost of Rs 120 crore, of which 67 per cent would be central and state government subsidies.
